So, what video decoder is everyone using?

Im trying to get the best quality possible... have found dscaler looks far better than gbpvr, and im trying to get the same performance, mainly in picture sharpness and motion clarity (dscaler looks like normal tv, gbpvr tends to 'skip' a little).

So, what have people found work for them best?
System =
2500+ at 2.00ghz, 200fsb
1gb ddr400 ram
hauppauge 150mce
mx440 vid card (have used other video cards, not limited by this as dscaler works perfectly with it).

The NVIDIA purevideo decoder is currently the state of the art. Paired with a modern video card, it is superb.

Unfortunately your video card does not support hardware de-interlacing, so you are dependant on the software de-interlacing capabilities of the video decoder software. Software de-interlacing is generally very poor and picture quality under such circumstances varies considerably depending on which video decoder you use. The Intervideo decoder incorporates software edge sharpening and in my opinion offers the best picture quality when limited to software de-interlacing.

The best picture quality is achieved when you have a video card that supports spatial-temporal hardware de-interlacing. This is far superior to software de-interlacing, and in my opinion the Purevideo decoder is best when using hardware de-interlacing.
