I am running Vista Beta 2 with a PVR-150. I am able to get the GBPVR interface up and running fine. My problem is everytime I run video (it works audio and images), either live TV or recorded TV, I cannot leave the video playback. When I click exit the last frame just freezes and I do not see the menu. Notably if I start viewing in a window try to exit then increase the window size I can see the menu anywhere in the new larger window that was not used by the video. See the diagram below where V is the video and M is menu.

|MMMMMMM|
|MMMMMMM|

I am sending this message from work so I could not attach the files if need I can attach them later tonight.
Thanks for the help.

No

No specific plans at this stage. I'll test it when its release date gets a bit nearer, and resolve any issues that popup. I expect to encounter some issues, but nothing too serious.

HDCP is handled transparently then? that is where I would think you would run into huge issues. with HD_DVDs/BluRay and cablecards that are HDCP enabled.

just wanted to say this but ATI is releasing a tuner that supports a cable card for vista, but I have read that you cant install it yourself.

Thats really a different topic entirely.

GB-PVR in its current form should work fine in Vista, but may require a few tweaks to work around security changes etc.

What you're talking about is entirely new features. As always I'll be monitoring these new technologies, and when a clear picture evolves on how they should be used and what limitations exist, then I'll decide if/how these things should be added to GB-PVR. Information about cable card devices etc still havnt been made publically available, so you know as much as me (ie, not enough to implement support at this time).

it works when you give the user admin-rights over the gbpvr-directory. the restarting of the recording services causes the config-app to crash, but the changes are saved.

it works fine, except for that config-problem.

the video problem hikinandbikin posted is related to decoders and renderers, i think.

Thanks for the info Sub. Changing to VMR9 rather than custom fixed it. I don't really know anything about the different rendering formats so I didn't even think to check that.
Thanks Again
