Hey there,
I've been using GBPVR for a while now, but I recently reformated the computer because everyone knows how Windows is. My harddrive was fragmented beyond repair. I now have scheduled tasks to run Windows Defragmenter twice per week on the recordings partition, and once per week on the Windows partition. I also have a scheduled task of restarting the computer once per week to keep everything fresh. This brings me to my question:
My version of GBPVR is 0.98.8b
1) There has been a (or several) new release since the one I had installed before. I now noticed that Timeshift Mode starts automatically when I watch LiveTV. This feature is a waste of system resources for me, and I don't want it to turn on when I start watching LiveTV. Timeshift mode makes the computer act slower, makes channel changing slower, etc. I want it to be like before when if I wanted to pause a show, all I had to do was press Pause and it would start timeshift, then I would press pause again to pause the show.
2) I notice that when I'm watching LiveTV and I press "Menu" on my MCE remote, it brings up the main menu, however on the right hand side the LiveTV is still playing. Is there a way to disable this so when I press Menu it simply brings up the menu?
3) I forget how my setup was in the previous version. I have a PVR150, and a PVR500. So in my Capture sources I have 3 items listed. I forget whether or not I have to enter my Zap2It info in all of them, or only in 1 of them (will it try and retrieve the info 3 times if I enter it 3 times?)
