Hello, sorry for this long post, but this is bugging me!
I've been experiencing a crash in the recording service lately. The errors in the event view ended up with me getting to this MS page.
http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=913384
In the article are both of the error messages I get when the service crashes.
As I dont know anything about programming, can anyone tell me (Sub?) if the service uses "user account context"
(the title of the article is "A .NET Framework 2.0 application that runs under a user account context when no user profile is associated with the user account context may crash")
If this is the case, then I'll contact the support centre to get the hotfix (it means contacting their support centre, and talks about support costs - which doesnt sound good!) (or is there another way to resolve this?)
As an aside, I have the service set to restart twice after crashing and then restart the PC after that. The service restarted 5 mins after the crash tonight, but the recording happening at the time did not restart as expected (Is this behaviour expected? - I thought it would have restarted and created a new file) - I missed Prison Break :-(
Thanks, and again sorry for the post length.
