Thank you for setting this up! I had been trying to get this for days, but the wiki has been acting up.
I can't wait to try it!

Latest snapshot is here

Only real changes are HiVis theme now created.
Also created a SportsScores and Calendar "Blue BuddyIcon" task images (excuse my lack of graphics skills) for the MCE2 theme.

For best results, if installing over a previous version and you have no custom images or changes in the \skin\SkinPlugin directory, delete that folder before installing.

I have updated the MCE2 theme to reflect the original BlueMCE2 skin more accurately.

Changed is white text instead of light gray (missed that one before).
Majority of main menu otherwise was very much the same. I did move the buttons back closer to original position and made size closer to original.

Also, yellow is no longer used for selected text.

Latest snapshot, on the way to 2.0 release

All core gbpvr plugins now support fully the HiVis theme for larger fonts. Images are based on the MCE2 style. Let me know if you like the outlined button text or not.

Looks like the megaupload bandwidth has been used up :-(

BTW: A big thanks to everyone who made Community Skin happen.

I'm sticking with this for now (which is saying something) - It looks fantastic, works out of the box with all the plugins that I use (critical requirement) and I love being able to play around with the setup.

Hi

After spending some time setting up my Community skin layout, I wondered if there was a way to save the configuration so that I can return to it later. I want to experiment with other layouts and not lose the one I have now.

BTW Great job on this skin!

Cheers Mike

There is no "save theme" function as yet but if you wanted to save the choices you've got you could just back up the _CommonImages folder, as this is where are the images in use are kept. If you want to save your main menu choice you could also make a backup of the mainmenu and panels folders.

Then if your experiments go wrong you can just restore the backups.

Many thanks for taking a crack at this. There are still very significant visual differences between the skins though.

Is there something I can do myself? such as develop my own theme?

What are the "very significant" differences? This will help me point you in the right direction.

Maybe a screen shot?

After looking into the differences more, I noticed a few more things.

The most noteable one is that the background used for lists is either blank or something different in BlueMCE2. You can use the "Skin" Plugin to cycle through list backgrounds to get transparent ones.
