I recently upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR (still on access db) and began having issues with failed recordings and not being able to delete them.

I then found the patch http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1148520450 in one of the other posts http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16289&page=2

That seemed to have fixed the problem. BUT.....

When I checked my recordings today I found that one recording "LOST" set for 9pm Wednesday the 11th had failed. It was originally failing becuase of a conflict which I had cleared up. Now it just says failed. I looked into the directory and the file exists and appears to be OK but I can't tell until I get home tonight to view it.

I have another recording the day prior exact same time (Dirty Jobs) and that worked OK. Also I am recording Mythbusters at 1am after Lost should have recorded and that worked fine too.

Additionally, I just looked at the mdb file size and it shows it as 211MB. I only have 5 recordings at most and am only keeping one or two recordings of each. That seems a bit high for that amount of data.

Any thoughts

You can sometimes compact access databases - I think Sub recommends switching to sqlite (run the ChangeDatabase utility in the gbpvr directory) - do you have a reason to stay on access?

I did compact the database and it brought it down to a more respectable 5MB. I don't have any real reason for staying with Access. If that's all that is required to convert to SQLLite then I'll try it. I just checked my version and I am running v0.97.13 so I guess an upgrade to the latest wouldn't hurt.

I can't really comment on the other issues - but great that compacting worked out

I upgraded and switched databases fairly recently with no problems.

OK well I'll try upgrading and switching to the new dB this weekend. Hopefully next weeks show will record properly. I'm just confused why only one show "Lost" wouldn't record properly.
