Placing an image over the video inset

Hopefully I'm missing something simple here, but it may be a video-overlay thing: basically I'm trying to have an info panel on the main menu which has rounded corners. I can make a png with a transparent rounded knockout in the middle, but can't see how to put it in front of either the task image or the video inset.

Well that sounds pretty straight forward
 . I thought there might be problems with an image over video, and I assume the Inset shape can't be altered from a rectangle?I thought I remembered having seen a semi-transparent image over a task image in someone's skin before though - is this possible or am I mistaken? cheers, tieke
It is possible over task images, just not the inset.
