I have a number of client machines set up and are working ok, except last night when I installed GBPVR as a client on the wifes Sony Laptop (xp 1 month old). It has win DVD installed and is my only decoder.

Anyhow I found that when I went to play .dvd file the screen was blank, yet when I pressed enter it would start the move. in this example I'm talking about hitch hikers guide to the galaxy (great film) then when it got to a menu section again it went blank.

I changed the VRM setting and found that I could only see the menu screens in Overlay mode. VRM7 and 9 were no good.

then I tried changing the dvd navigator to intervideo and GBPVR crashed.

Will try cyberlink codecs tonight if she'll let me on the laptop.

Can aynone explain why this might be with VRM ??

Do you mean VIDEO_TS? If you enter a directory, and it has a directory inside it called VIDEO_TS, then it should show this .dvd file.

Exactly what files and directory structure do you have in this part of your hard disk? If there are extra files, this can cause GB-PVR not to show the .dvd file.

I have the VOB files and the VIDEO_TS folder under the DVD file Name. When I click on the Video_TS folder it will start then goto a black screen. Sorry for the delay in the reply. I can hit back and it takes me back to the Video Screen. I know the VOB's are valid because I can use Power DVD and watch it directly from the HDD.

For example d:\My Videos\Lost Season 1 Disk 1\
This folder has all the VOBs and files after using DVD Decrypter.

How should I have DVD Decrypyer setup?
Currently I have it splitting the VOBs into 1GB files.

If you have a "d:\My Videos\Lost Season 1 Disk 1\" directory containing no other files, other than a "VIDEO_TS" sub directory, then when you browser to "d:\My Videos\Lost Season 1 Disk 1\" in the Video Library screen, it should show you a .DVD file instead of the VIDEO_TS directory. Does this happen on your machine, or do you have other things in that directory?

I have the Video_TS Folder and inside I have the VOB, IFO, and BUP files.
For example I have the files listed under DVD file / Folder Structure ( http://www.videohelp.com/dvd ) of that link. The list is about 3/4 of the way down the page.

What files and directories do you have in the directory above that though? The directory above is the one used to decide whether the .DVD file is shown.

If you've got VNC on your machine, I'm happy to remotely connect and take a look. I'm sure its just something simple in this directory layout.
