After transcoding a DVD using xDVD, if I attempt to play it using Video Library or My Videos via the MediaMVP I get a very strange timeline display when I press "pause". I will usually show the total time as being 5, 6 or 7+ hours and the starting position as being the high number of the time line minus the running time of the movie (ex: If the movie is 1 hr and 35 minutes and the high number, displayed on the right side of the time line, is 07:15:25 (7 hrs 15 min 25 sec), the starting position position of the movie will show as 05:40:25.

Also, while the FF and REW functionality work fine (only after transcoding has been fully completed) the SKIP FORWARD and SKIP BACK buttons BOTH move the video position forward, and by HUGE jumps (again, I am not talking about playback of a transcoded DVD in xDVD, but rather via Video Library or My Videos).

NOTE: This weird behavior only occurs when playing back dvd.mpg using the MVP. When I playback on my PC, the timeline displays normally (i.e., in the example above, the low number on the time line would be 00:00:00 and the high number 01:35:00) and the SKIP FORWARD and SKIP BACK functions work just fine.

Any ideas?

I'm getting a similar issue. I couldn't get xDVD to work so I used VLC to recode a VOB first. Plays back fine on the PC but get the strange timeline on the MVP. If I skip forward / backward then the audio can also go out of sync. I'm recoding as a MPEG PS with mp2v video (2048kbps) and mp2a audio (192kbps). I'll try different recodes to see if it can fix the problem.

Edit: Just switched from mp2a to mp3. Audio now stays in sync - just get some crackling from the left speaker when I come out of fast forward. Skip still won't wok properly as the time line is still incorrect.
GB-PVR 1.0.16 (recording service and database) running on: VIA EPIA 5000 (533Mhz), 512MB, 40GB HD, PVR-150MCE, USB-UIRT controlling Sky Digital box.

GB-PVR 1.3.11 (front-end and client for above) running on: Toshiba NB100 netbook 1.6Ghz, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM.

Front-end viewed on 2xMVPs (using mvpmc dongle).
