I have a question regarding the naming of the recordings. Prior to v98/SQLLite I was using the rename recording utility. Now that I am on the SQLLite verison is does not support the SQLLite database. I am trying to get the recordings to save as [Show Name - Show Title.mpg]; e.g. I taped Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for my daughter and I wanted the name to save as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-Mickey-Go-Seek.mpg, but it saved as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse_20061014_09000925.mpg.

Thank you in advance for any help

There is no built-in functionality that does this.

"AddEpisode is a file renaming utility for use with the sqlite database."
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/AddEpisode

Works perfectly, and has lots of options. Smile

Jim, The Add Episode Utility solved it.

Thank you!

I am having the same problem. I have the addepisode %1 {show}-{episode or date} line in the postprocessing.bat file, and it does not seem to convert any of the files names at all. They come up as Desperate Housewives_20061029_20002101.mpg. I have version 0.98.8b, and also have uploaded my postprocessing.bat . I have also read the forums and tried to run the addepisode manually, but still no go. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

danop75:

Can you look in the gbpvr directory for the file named addepisode.txt, and either post the file or the last few lines.

Also, have you switched over to the sqlite database? Addepisode was written specifically for sqlite, and wont work with ms access.

Another thing you can try is to remove everything else from your postprocessing.bat, and see if addepisode is having a problem when run after comskip, comclean, etc.

Let me know what you come up with, and ill try to help you. Also, i have set up a thread on this board specifically for support questions for addepisode, have a look at it here.

Turkey,
The only thing I have in that folder close to addepisode.txt is addepisodehelp.txt which I have attached nothing else in that folder. I have tried to wipe out all other lines in the postprocessing.bat as suggested in your help forum for this program. To me is just seems like addepisode aint starting up. I have the sql.exe in my folder, how can I tell if it is converted to that data base or not? Thanks for your help.

other's can correct me if i'm wrong, but if you haven't actively switched to the sqlite database, you are still using the ms access database. I think the only way to switch is to run ChangeDatabase.exe, which is located in the gbpvr directory. So, if you want to use addepisode, you will have to change the database to sqlite. otherwise, check out renamerecording, it should be on the wiki.

let me know what you come up with...
