When I try the change database routine I assume that I need to select the "copy database" option? It churns for a few seconds but then reports "Failure migrating data..........the database is locked". I think I have all GBPVR services stopped. Is that right? Any tips?

I still haven't resolved this problem, but then I haven't tried too hard, but having upgraded to 98.13 (very smoothly, thanks)I feel its time to sort this. I've tried it with services stopped and with services started. Looking at the changedatabase log it shows a invalidcastexception, despite having run the Recordingdatafixup routine; like so

07/11/2006 20:45:15.421 VERBOSE [1] About to get list of existing channels...
07/11/2006 20:45:15.468 ERROR [1] Failure in ChannelFactory::loadChannelSummary(): System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid.

07/11/2006 20:45:15.468 VERBOSE [1] about to save listings
07/11/2006 20:45:15.468 VERBOSE [1] inserting channel: BBC3

Presumably I need to fix the Access db before conversion, but how?

IIRC access has a repair feature in the Tools->Utilities menu

Thanks, I'll try that although I think from things that I have read a while ago that cast errors may be a result of 'cleaning up' by deleting some zero length recordings in explorer, and hence causing a mismatch between 2 or more tables in the DB. Is that likely, and which tables might those be?
