any way not to use a pwd for the web interface?

I have no need for a password screen for the web interface. Is there an easy way around this? (besides recoding the web pages)

No, you'd need to edit the web source code and comment out a few lines.

In particular, you need to go through each of the cs source code files and remove or comment out the section that checks for the login session variables. If you want this to be configurable, then I suggest putting a suggestion in the Wishlist. I might add this feature the the Enhanced Web Admin, but it isn't high on the to do list.
