Hi there,

I've been playing with v98.13 for a week or so now but on a bloated machine (also running other PVR software that I shall not mention Big Grin ), anyways after being very impressed with GBPVR I decided to do a clean XP build yesterday for the sole purpose of running GBPVR.

The server is running fine, channels mapped, TV and sound all there locally but I cannot get my Hauppauge MVP to show live TV (BTW very nice latest issue MVP with SPDIF out).

It connects via DHCP from my router, it finds the MVP server from GBPVR and I get the GBPVR menu screen. But if I choose the option of watching Live TV it goes to a black screen for 10 seconds, then returns to the GBPVR menu for 2 seconds before restarting the whole Hauppauge setup configuration and then returns to the GBPVR menu.

Currently I have set the live TV pre-delay @ 8000 in case that was the issue but makes no difference. I've searched the threads but may have missed something?

thanks in advance, STEEB

What capture card are you using? If its a DVB card, are you capturing to DVR-MS or MPG? You need the latter.

Big Grin

Its the preferred demultiplexer option on the misc tab of the config app. You need to have installed the Cyberlink or ATI muxes first though. (forum search rather than asking me where to get them)

Sub,

thanks for help, misc now set to Cyberlink. Just to check, I'm running Cyberlink PowrDVD does this NOT include the muxes?

Sub, many thanks, if I happen upon a mux what would be a good place to keep it directory-wise?

cheers, STEEB

Sub, thanks for your time. Tomorrow may reveal more but I cannot get the mux checker to give me a good response! I've missed something somewhere I'll pick up the threads again.

cheers

When you down the mux filter, you also need to register it:

regsvr32 c:\path\to\mpgmux.ax
