Channel found, no display

Howdy Peeps

I am setting up a GBPVR (latest rev) on a friends PC. I have installed Directx, .NET 2.0, Hauppauge drivers (pretty sure it is a 150MCE - that is what GBPVR thinks it is as well) and GBPVR.

Problem is, I can detect the channels with GBPVRs Tuning Assistant (the channels found are correct) but I do not get anything displayed on the screen - it stays black.

When I update the TV Guide (via XMLTV - thanks Reven!) and manually edit the channels to match, I get still get a black screen.

Thoughts?

what video decoder are you using ? have you tried others ? post your friends logs so we can help

which logs exactly?

Probably all of them from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr

Do you have an MPEG2 decoder installed?

Will grab the logs off. I have Cyberlink, Nero, Intervideo as my loaded codecs... Not really sure if they are working though...

Did you try switching from VMR9 Custom to the other renderers? (Overlay, VMR7, VMR9)

Tried a few different combinations, no luck as of yet. Did I mention my "friend" was my boss? ;-)

Is there a way to tell if the renderers are "working"? And with these cards/software if a channel is not tuned in, do you get snow?

You supposed to run the Tuning Assistant to get the channel numbers for each channel, then enter these channel numbers next to the appropriate channel in the capture source settings. Did you do this?
