OK, I don;t want to see anyone waving their 40" at me.
I am after a new 26-28" screen, either LCD or good ol' CRT. A 32" screen would be too imposing in our room unfortunately.
I just went to take a look at the Panasonic TX26LXD60 and the SAMSUNG
LE26R72BX LCD screens. Unfortunately, the store (Curry's) have a crap signal making it very difficult to gauge image quality properly. The demo video is only average and and Freeview looks terrible. They won;t let me return one if I am unhappy with the IQ (what service). I could probably return one if I buy it on the web due to the distance selling act but that is a lot of hassle.
Does anyone have an LCD display that displays DVB-T content and DVD's as well as a decent CRT? I don;t want to spend £500-£600 on something that looks pretty but displays a pixalated, noisy, smeary image.
I don;t anticipate having access to any HD content in the next few years unless the launch HD on UK Freeview.
I have been trying to pick up a decent 28" CRT on fleebay but people keep paying too much for them...
cheers
