I think if you try to put a . in a folder name it actually gets rid of it. That could be the cause of your problems

Yeah, I think thats correct (sort of - only trailing dots are removed)

GB-PVR does already try to make sure filenames dont contain invalid characters. Dots and spaces are acceptable characters in filenames, but unfortunately windows seems to discard a trailing dot in a folder name, and GB-PVR doesnt have the logic to cope with this.

Could a script be used to scan the epg file after it is updated & correct these anomalies?

I just looked into why "Disney Club:Kim Possible" keeps indicating its failed but the recordings are there - I hadn't even put a second thought into this as I've been moving these manually to the other drive in the system where I put all the Kids TV programs for them to watch from "Video Library".

Now that I looked its obvious that its due to the : in the Name as this is an illegal charater for obvious reasons - Should GBPVR be handling this??? Its ommitted from the folder and file names and they've recorded ok but GBPVR thinks they've failed and they can't be played so presumably they are in the Database with the Colon.

Just thought I'd mention this for the future.

Thanks,

Matt
