Please Help Newbie With setup

Hi
I am having horrible time getting gbpvr to setup. I read the wikis and I still cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I get no picture or sound. I have wintv pvr 150 connected to directv reciever via s video. I went through wiki setup guide. Any suggestions guys

I'm using a setup just like yours and have it working great. GB-PVR is a wonderful program.

First things first, does your PVR150 work with the software that it comes with? Are you even able to see a picture from the DirecTV receiver when using the WinTV app?

Next question, when you use the "tuner" (I know nothing is hooked up to it) are you able to see 'snow'?

I might also try sticking an OTA areial into the PVR150 and try getting that working on its own first.
Once you know the PVR and your PC are setup and working its a fairly easy step to add the directtv receiver to the svid input.

I am glad to see that you read the wiki, and sorry that it didnt help you, could you tell us a little more specifically what you did to set your system up? and just to cover these bases
the front end works fine; you see the menu and everything?
you installed the drivers for the 150? along with the blaster software that came with it (I assume you need this to get your sat box to change channels)
you have made sure that the connections you are using to connect to your STB are good (hook the svideo cable into the TV and try to watch it that way)

do what they say above as well. and let us know how this all goes
