I am now going to try setting up the DCT700 in GB-PVR. I can't get NPVR to work for me. How do I do this?

Did you read my advice here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post418329 for getting it working in NPVR?

Its largely the same in GB-PVR. In the config app you'd need to create a new capture source for the device, set the appropriate input (probably composite), then set the epg source to a xmltv file that has the channel list.

Yes, I did. I still find NPVR much too difficult to set up. I'll stick to GB-PVR for now, although I'm not having much luck with it, either. How do I get an xmltv file with the channel list? Can't I use Schedules Direct?

I'm surprised anyone would find GB-PVR easier to setup Big Grin

Yeah, you could set your EPG Source to Schedule Direct to import the channels from there.

Still no channels. I just see a black screen. When I added Schedules Direct to the new device, it just added the channels from the analog lineup.

If you're seeing black, it makes me thing you haven't got the correct input selected. Like if you selected composite, but have the DCT700 connected via coax, or something similar.

It'll add whatever channel lineups you've got associated with your Schedules Direct account. If it's not the full set of channels, then you'll need to log into the schedules direct website and select the correct lineups.

I assure you I have selected composite and it is connected via composite. As for Schedules Direct, I'll go in and change the lineup.

If you plug your composite cable into your TV and select that input, do you see the picture?

No, sub. Unfortunately, it's black on the TV, too. I went in and changed the lineup to digital on Schedules Direct, but it made no difference, although I see the digital channel listings now. Still black.

It sounds like your DCT700 isnt putting any signal out on that cable then, or you've got a faulty cable.
