I'm curious: there's over 11000 members registered on the forums - anyone got any idea / guesses as to how many people are using GBPVR day-to-day to watch and record TV???? How many people have downloaded 98.13 (then add a few for those who prefer to stick on an older version)???

My guess...

More than three, if you count you, me and sub. Big Grin

Shame you can't seem to sort the members list by last seen activity, that might give a good idea. Not sure whether vBulletin can do that.

It seems I had read (or inferred) there were maybe +30,000 downloads of a particular release.

I remember Sub stating (a few versions back, on the old server I think) that there had been 20000 downloads in the first week of the release.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Correct. Its been a long time since we had a release with less downloads than that.

It always surprises me how many downloads there are. We also use a phenominal amount of web server traffic each month, the bulk of which is downloads of the .msi installer.

I dont know how many people are actively using it, but even if it was only a third of those that download, it would still be very large number of users.

In which case the number of support threads is comparatively tiny - so well done.

From wikipedia:

Population - March 2006 estimate 4,147,9725 (124th in 2005)

(30,000/4,147,972)x100= 0.72% to put a true local twist on it.Wink
