Hi

I have been struggling with the Freecom DVB-T stick and finally realised I needed to have mux installed - I put in Cyberlink and things much better.

BUT one problem still not resolved - mostly channel changes in Live TV work fine, but if I leave live TV and go back in again to the same channel I get a black screen, or if i change between some groups of channels (e.g. BBC1 and BBC2 in the UK). If I go to another channel it works fine and then back to the original one it also works fine?! All a bit confusing.

Any thoughts appreciated - logs attached

The same for me... I get the signal strength and quality message with Signal = 100% and Quality=0%... until I change to another channel in another frequency! I go back to the unviewed channel and It works fine...

P.D. I Have not installed Cyberlink Mux

I think is a transponder issue, so I've checked the log files and I found that:
Code:
08:19:02.906    VERBOSE    SubmitTuningRequest(T:C25,506000,0,0,8~P:4228~V:610~A:611~L:eng~PMT:4228~LCN:2~N:>BBC TWO)
08:19:02.906    INFO    Submit-DVBT@T1
08:19:02.906    VERBOSE    Tuning Request is for the current transponder
08:19:02.906    VERBOSE    ServiceID: 4228,    PMT PID: 4228,    VPID: 610,     APID: 611
08:19:02.906    VERBOSE    SubmitTuningRequest() complete
The message 'Tuning Request is for the current transponder' appears when last tunned channel belongs to the same transponder (or is the same channel).

I've Open GBPVR, turn on TV, black screen (signal strength=0). Change channel to another transponder: it works fine. Change channel to first tunned (and failed) channel: it works perfect. Message log: no 'current transponder message'). Then I've stopped TV with 'stop' key, and when I again turn TV on (GBPVR closed and opened again) it fails. But If I close GBPVR with alt+f4 when TV is working fine, when I run GBPVR and run TV it works perfect!
What d'u think is the problem? someone else have it?

thanks for read.

Another try: this night I tried to record three tv shows (not consecutive): two in the same channel, and the last in a channel from another transponder, after close GBPVR using ALT+F4 method:

First show, recorded fine
Second show, bad file (error during playback file)
Third show, fine again....

Please check it out, guys

Its not clear to me what the cause is, but I can see some of these attempts to watch TV in your logs dont look right, and are missing lots of messages you'd normally see. Unfortunately its hard for me to say why this is happening.

A dozen or so lines after each of the "BDARecorder:::StartRecording" messages in the gbpvr.exe-native.log file, there should be set of lines like the following. Sometimes these are missing on your attempts/

Quote:08:18:49.546 VERBOSE About to auto detect correct tuner filter
08:18:49.562 VERBOSE Looking for associated filter

Sorry, I know that doesnt really get you any closer to solving your problem.

Thanks for the comments - for some reason it seems to be less of a problem now - perhaps I have now got better reception on the stick - perhaps before it was going black screen if it didn't get a good enough signal?!?
