Thanks for the info curt1s. Right now I'm finishing the testing of the new script. I plan to look at your questions first thing after I'm done.

The new script has been released and it has preliminary iRiver H3xx support.

For iRiver transcoding, place the files to be transcoded in a directory called "+iriver" without the quotes. Dropping the files from that directory onto the script should get you a file that compatible. If not, there's something else I can try.

great thanks! I will try this out ASAP. If this works, I will post a link to your site in the iRiver forums. I am sure this will be useful to quite a few people.

I am also very interested when you have support for avi files too.

Thanks!

What do you mean by support for AVI files? Do you mean support to AVI files as input files? If so, then the script already supports this via the drag-and-drop method. I haven't tried it with Automated Directory Transcoding though.

well I actually meant those screen capture avi's that I posted the specs for earlier in this thread. For some reason it didnt seem to work with those.

Thanks!

Have you tried them with the new script? If so, how did it not work? Did it error out, or did the resulting file not meet your expectations?

Sorry to take so long to get back. When trying to transcode avi files I got from a screen recorder (I posted the stats a few posts back) the voice audio sounds like chipmunks.

Am I missing something?

I still have to test the iRiver one.. I am busy with school projects right now Smile

Thanks,
Curtis

The tscc codec may be the issue. Did you try setting the output_video_fps to 15? Do you have a small snippet I could test?
