Do I need a TV card or will VIVO work?

Hi,

Just putting together a new computer. My old one had an All-in-wonder card. I never used the "tuner" as I jst run the output of my cable box into the s-video and sound outputs into my sound card.

I am now going to use a ATI x1950pro card that has VIVO (video in video out) on it.

Will this program recongize the video in and use it as the source instead of a true "tuner" card or device? I have been looking for a program to "monitor" the input of the card so I can watch TV.
