Exiting Live TV (continued)

Hi, just for information, the problem I detailed in: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=21178
is still showing in 99.5. I've again gone back to 98.08 which doesn't exhibit the problem.

Has anyone with a H3 MVP had this and solved it ? What dongle are you using?

Hi have just put a media system/network in my parents house and seem to have the same problem, i was having a lot of rebooting issue, which seem to be ok now i applied the patch but when ever i press the back button out of live TV the MVP reboots, please keep me informed if you find a soultion fro this.

Hardware bugs in MVP still around.. I wish they would come out with some that can handle all the information going into the little device. Again sometimes this happens sometimes it doesn't.

I am convinced that this problem is a software bug and not hardware related.

For hardware I have heard of these problems which I don't think are related

- over saturated colours
- screen too dark
- volume too low
- excessive network overruns (I don't typically see these on network sniffs when the exit live tv problem occurs)

And I think there is faulty firmware for some newer revision H's

- mvp's that don't really load a dongle.bin (this could actually be a problem for gbpvr
- mvp's that can't connect to a server period.

Finally the other major hardware problem is typically at the router/switch level so it is not really an mvp problem. Some routers don't like (and maybe aren't configured properly) so when the Hauppauge dongle switches from full duplex to half duplex on reload the networking is messed up.

These are precisely the problems I am experiencing. After many hours spent searching for resolution I guess I have to settle that there isn't any at this time !
So is the best guess that it is hardware related issue ?
