Is there any plugins or something I missed in GBPVR that will show if the episode is "new" or even an original airdate?

GB-PVR doesnt normally show this information since its usually not known. This info is only available in US/Canada listings. GB-PVR is developed in New Zealand, and I tend to avoid features that are region specific.
Some north american users use the i-xmltv utility for their listings which add's an asterisk to new show titles, so this is something you could look into.

Do you have a handy link for i-xmltv? Wiki only had one for "Schedule Direct" and the forum post I found had the download link removed on Oct 3rd.

what EPG are you using? i-xmltv will only work for schedules direct; there is another version that works for one of the yahoo programs and my yahoo program will add the start for you. So its very dependent on your EPG source.

I haven't tried it yet, but I thought schedulesdirect utilities combined with something like searchwiz2 or tv listings would do what you are looking for. See http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...tUtilities for details.

[cancel that, I see it in your siggy] also.. the recordings are only able to be played on my main screen (ie primary monitor) .. is it suppose to work this way, or is there a fix? And anything to remove commercials (or atleast not play them, even if they're recorded) .. thanks in advance.

Please give more details about your setup and what you're wanting to do. Quote:And anything to remove commercials (or atleast not play them, even if they're recorded)Do a forum search for "comskip". It will try to identify commercials which GB-PVR will skip automatically during playback.

sub Wrote:What do you mean exactly? Please give more details about your setup and what you're wanting to do. Comskip worked great, thanks! I have two monitors, one primary (LCD) and secondary (CRT) .. playback and other things on both monitors work except playing back GBPVR recordings in WMP or others such as RealPlayer .. it even works in the program itself on the secondary monitor, but the volume controls don't seem to work (i've muted it but it still plays sound normally)

Well, no reply .. the software has gotten worse for me though, every so often the tuner won't read into the program so I have to reboot, and if its recording .. then my internet explorer won't work? Makes no sense, but it only ocurs in GBPVR, so I think I'll just upgrade to Vista (ultimate) and use their program since it appears to be solid .. thanks for the help, tho.
