Larger recording file sizes with 99.5

Greetings. Just upgraded from 98.13 to 99.5. When I record the same TV programs my .mpg files have "grown" from about 930mb to 1.5gb ... I select the same profile all the time "Medium" quality. Checked "Medium" and it appears the same settings as in 98.13. Any ideas ... something else changed? Thanks (for the program), and any help.

What capture device are you using? Hauppauge PVR USB2?

Yes the Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 ...

Try editing direct.ini and setting INIT_MODE=IVAC in the [Hauppauge PVR2 USB2] section.
