Hi all,

I was searching through the guide tonight using v99.50, looking for anything funky to record - added several recordings scheduled for over the next week or so with no problems.. until..

I come to add a program due to be recorded this Friday and 23:30, and it reports: "Recording Conflict: To record this show will require the cancellation of another scheduled recording".

Okay fine you may think, but I have only one option presented "No Changes. Cancel my new recording request". There's no line above that to tell me what program clashes.

In fact, I have nothing else that clashes. I've checked through my 'Pending' list, and no other prog is scheduled to be recorded at that time, so why won't it let me add this item?

Any pointers or quick fixes greatly appreciated.. Smile

If you try to schedule it again now, for this same time, does it still generate this conflict? If so, email your database over to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

I have seen this before when Zap2it has added a channel to my lineup that conflicts with an existing channel in my lineup. Duplicate channel number will cause it.

I don't use Zap2it, and I don't have duplicate channel numbers in GBPVRconfig - I've emailed you the .db3 file Sub - hope it's not too big to make it thru my mailservers. If so, I'll post it on some webspace for you to grab a hold of.. Smile

Cheers muchly my friend,

So I assume its still doing this? If so, can you attempt to schedule this recording again, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log?

Here is the log file you asked for.

At ~20:29 this evening, I tried to schedule 4 different programs from 'Search TV Guide'

For the 1st & 3rd, I am told I am told there's a recording conflict but given no program that it conflicts with.

For the 2nd, a genuine conflict exists, and on the 4th attempt I find a random proggy that schedules fine.

Sorry, you'll need to disable your MVP server temporarily to produce these logs.

I'd primarily be interested in you scheduling a recording for Friday at 23:30, as described in your first post, since its easy for me to now check what you've got in your database.

Okay - I disabled the MVP server, restarted the recording service, and went straight into GBPVR and tried to schedule a program called "Parallel Worlds: A Users Guide", on BBC4 05/01/2007 @ 23:30.

ah, I see what is happening...

The first thing it does is when you try to schedule this recording is go through each of the capture sources to check which ones have the requested channel. In your case its finding this channel associated with two capture sources, but its disabled in both. You'll find if you look in the capture source channel lists that you dont have the 'enabled' ticked, and it looks like you havent mapped these channels (since there is no DVB tuning request associated with each).
