I plan on doing the manual/batch encoding mode first. Transcoding to such a variety of formats is more complicated. Also, it makes more sense to have the batch mode in place so that transcoding can be done manually, rather than one file at a time.

My plan right now is to allow you to select a folder, and create a list of all the files in that folder (and subfolders), which will all be processed in turn (a queue). It should be pretty straight forward.

Excellent. Can't wait to be able to do that. Thanks for the effort.

I installed the new version, and gave it a try.

After first running it with no parameters, to set it up, I dropped a file on it, and saw this:[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

However, after a bit of time passed, I saw this:

I have attached all of the log and txt files that were generated.

Bug. Just re-run ComCut on the same file and it will work. I caught that bug just after the release, unfortuantely. I'll get a new build up soon.

If you are running ComCut in your postprocessing.bat file, add "Comskip %1" before "Comcut %1", or set Comskip to run during recording.

ComCut 1.2 Build 78 - Beta [Homepage] [Download .EXE only]

Changes:
+ Added Batch Mode to process all .mpg files is a directory tree

This is a beta release. It has preliminary support for Batch Mode. In order to work the best, you should turn OFF the "Display Error Dialogs" option.

There are a few known issues with this beta version:
- If a file has already had the commecials removed but a Comskip file still exists for it, it will cause mpgtx to fail. Turn off the "Display Error Dialogs" option to just have it skip to the next file.

- If you've already run ComCut on a file, depending on what options you used, it could cause errors during the Cleanup process

- Misc other errors could pop up since I haven't added any extra code to compensate for the batch mode.

Please report your feedback.

I hope that you set the options to leave the original intact, just in case.

BTW, if you want to abort the process, the only thing you can do, right now, is to use the taskmgr to force close ComCut.exe, or click on the "X" to close each status window until it goes through the batch.
