Something I've long wanted and others have asked for too is the ability to mark commercials with my remote. My machine is dedicated to GB-PVR and I use it from the couch, so I hate to get up and get my keyboard and mouse out of the cabinet when I need to edit my commercials breaks. After a little testing and some special help from Erik, the developer of Comskip, there's no need for that anymore.
I've put together a short guide for how to launch Comskip's commercials editing window from within GB-PVR and control it with a Hauppauge remote. You can find it here, a zipped file in RTF format. (Use Window's Wordpad to view). Downloading the latest 79.63 or later version of Comskip will be most helpful as Erik changed the way the Comskip edit window is titled to make setup easier, but it's not absolutely required as explained in the guide.
If you have questions, find any errors or have some suggestions, feel free to post them. I'll do my best to assist.
P.S. This only works with GB-PVR and a video card. This doesn't work with the PVR-350's output and doesn't allow editing via the MVP.
