Hi Everyone

Could someone please help me on how to set up girder to use the USB-UIRT to change the channels on my freeview box.

I have loaded the girder plugin into girder and set GB-PVR config to use the girder plugin as the channel changer.

I have tried to work out how to get girder to to learn the codes from my freeview box remote control but I am lost and not usre what to do.

Is there a guide or can someone help.

Thanks in advance

You don't use girder to do the channel changing on the STB - it's all within GBPVR as the USB-UIRT is supported natively.

Just go into the config app and edit the recording source. There's an option for channel changer. Select USB-UIRT and then press settings. You can use one of the pre-loaded configs if one matches your STB, or otherwise it will walk you through the learning of the set of signals it requires.

Couldn't be easier.

Hi kryton_john

Thanks for your reply, but I have already tried this, however the USB-UIRT fails to change to a channel with two digits as the delay between the sending of the two numbers is too fast.

IE, selecting 15, will change my box to 1, 20 to 2. The second digits (5 ond 0) are ignored. I have tried to edit the IR definition file to change the delay, as detailed elesewhere in this forum, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I have asked sub to check this.

Hence the reason why I asked for help with using girder.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I'm not sure if this forum message will help or give you a clue

Promixis forum, although it deals with sending events from MS MCE through Girder to a USB UIRT to a STB

I believe that GB-PVR sends each channel number individually ie 1 2 3 for channel 123

Have you asked over at the Girder Forum at www.promixis.com?
