Will Dragon make it onto the converted list? Really dig that theme. No rush if so, just wondering.

reboot Wrote:I really can appreciate all the hard work, but I can't get anything to work for me.
I have downloaded and installed Basic skin, and 3 or 4 themes.
I don't quite know what bit's of what things go in what folders.
I tried running SKINROOT, but don't know what path should be in there.
I tried C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Basic and it worked for one theme.
I attempted to install a couple of other themes, and the theme manager, as well as theme updater. No idea if I got all their bit's in the right place, but when I click on THEMES in gbpvr, I get messages about buttons not being found, and it's looking for them in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Basic, but they're actually in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Basic\_core images.

Some simple instruction to get Basic installed, then 3 or 4 themes, and then how to make it all work so they're selectable somehow.

The original Advisor idea, with every element being selectable from the SKIN button in gbpvr seems much more logical to me, and it was easier to install too Wink
Please help!

Aha, thats what you meant.
Sorry, the ThemesManager plugin only works for Advisor Themes, since it is looking for directories names Advisor.xxxxxx.
New Themes are named _Theme.xxxxx so ThemesManager Plugin will not list them. I changed the name since new GBPVR should list the from within System-Settings screen.
Hopefully McBainUK or someone else can recompile the ThemesManager plugin to work with new directory naming.
Until then you have to run the Theme exe file or use the CopyTheme.bat file in each Theme directory.

Made a small change to the Themes plugin so it looks for _Theme.* themes instead of Advisor.* ones.

Thank McBainUK ....the plugin works great.

Reboot - use this ThemesManager plugin to change Themes with the Basic skin.
I will write some instructions on the Wiki, about how to install and change themes.

Wow, thanks for the prompt update on this. I'll give the whole thing a try again today.

Uploaded X-ThemeBlue with 8 main menu buttons. A clean Theme with large list text.
How does it work with the MVP?

I've been playing with Basic Skin and a few themes over recent days - some have good eye candy, so have been nice to do demos to friends. Definitely a lot less boring than the blue skin.

I did one thing though, the you tube plugin does look right. When you click the web button you only see about four category items even though there is space for like eight. You'll probably need to try this screen with the blue skin to see what I mean.

Thanks Sub for the feedback. I will have a look at that.
I don't actually use the YouTube plugin, because there is now sound in the converted files for me.
