Hauppauge 250 hardware decoder

I notice that there is an option to use the hauppauge 350 hardware decoder but not the 250. Is there a way I can use the 250's hardware decoder?

The PVR250 does not have a hardware DEcoder, only a hardware ENcoder which is automatically used during recording.
