pvr150 to control external box

Hello all...

I have a FTA Pansat 2500A. I want to be able to use the included IR blaster that came with the PVR150. I tried using the blaster config from hauppauge but it doesnt work. It had an option for satellite/pansat but the codes they offered didnt work.

anyone have any ideas? or know anyone who has a similar setup that i can talk to =)

Hi,

I'm using an alternative hardware called IRTrans (http://www.irtrans.de).
It is not the cheapest way (99 €), but in my opinion it is the best way.

This hardware works very good an with a little batch-file gbpvr-works perfect with it. This hardware can learn IR codes from any remote. And has a very good software (web-server, exe-server, proceed incomming command).

I just saw this thread and I had GBPVR and a Pansat 2500 working. I had to use a bin in the Pansat that included Hughes IR codes then set up GBPVR to send Hughes codes.

How did you get GBPVR to send huges codes? I did not see a setting for that.

A cheaper options that works well is the usb-uirt. Still not cheap, but cheaper

stefan....Thanks for the reply. I went over to the usb-uirt website and poked around the forum and found people are having issues with the pansat.

how do I set gbPVR to send Hughes IR codes. I have the correct file for my receiver...
