I can see there is a problem, but I can't see exactly where it is happening. I've uploaded a new test version to http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/V...ersion.zip with more debugging messages that will hopefully point me in the right direction. Would you mind deleting your video archive.mdb file reinstalling this version to see if it can help track down the error.

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

I've now installed the test version you've posted, going to the videos section it still just sits there with the egg timer.

I have got it working somewhat. By having the e:Moviez defined as the primary and also e:\Moviez\sub when I go to "Videos" on the menu it shows my recordings and also showed the "sub" folder and its contents. I have now renamed "sub" to "Movies" and it is still being listed in gbpvr as "sub" like it is cached. Is there some way to clear it and make it recognize it again?

I tried rebooting and now when I go to "Videos" from the main menu I get the error "Object reference not set as an instance object". Any ideas?

I went into the database file and moved all instances of the "sub" directory in the database. The Movies folder now only shows up when hit go to movies, CTRL+Y. One last question some of the movie titles now have "Posters for" in front of the name. All of the files are .avi so I am not sure why some of these are done this way. Movie data is not being downloaded either but I am assuming that is because they are avi's and not DVD's?

I have it kind of working now:

I removed all the paths to the videos and added two in the same way as truckerclock e.g. E:\Movies\ then E:\Movies\Sub but that didn't make any difference.

So I rechecked 'Scan for files at startup' and suddenly everything seems to be working again.

The problem I have now is I have the following directory structure:
D:\Movies\
D:\Recordings\
E:\Downloads\
E:\TV Series\
E:\Music Videos\

What I want to be able to do is have each one of those (except recordings) as sub directories on the main menu, such as:

Movies
Downloads
TV Series
Music Videos

But I can't figure out how to do that.

Actually that means the automatic internet search messed up when parsing the web page. an you post your InternetInfoFetcher-PC.log and if you have one your InternetInfoFetcher-MVP.log file?

Thanks

While it should work to have recordings in the root folders, I don't really test it that way and didn't design it to be used that way.

The way is was designed to work was to organize files under the root folder. For example, say you had one root folder called d:\dvds and under it you had sub folders called family, kids, and sci fi. In each of the folders you might have both recordings and more sub folders.

What the main menu for dvds would list if family, kids, and sci fi. In kids, for example, would be all the files and folders from the kids directory.

If you also had a root directory called e:\movies that contained folders called family and musicals, the main list would now contain family, kids, musicals, and sci fi. The kids entry would contain a sorted list of all the files from both d:\dvds\kids and e:\movies\kids. The names of the root folders do not matter and are ignored; all grouping is done by sub directory name.
