When I click on the settings button for my recording source I get an index out of bounds error, and if I click continue to get into the settings the drop-down box for capture card type is completely empty and I get the same index out of bounds error if I click the only show devices confiugured on this machine checkbox.

I just installed a pvr500 and was hoping to be able to try it out Sad

I cant think why you'd get that, but you dont have to click this checkbox. Just setup a capture source for the PVR500 anyway.

Do you know if the device is in a functioning state? (ran any other software to check?)

I don't really know if it's working right or not, besides device manager saying that there fine.

and the drop-down box is blank with or without me checking that box, I was just saying I get the same error again when I clicked it hoping that something would show up in the box so I could select my card. As it stands right now I can't select any card for the recording source

I've never heard of another person reporting that error. Something makes me think the device isnt functioning. It might be worth downloading the Hauppauge WinTV software and giving it a go.

well I'll give that a try, I got the card as an oem model, so besides the drivers it didn't really come with any other software for me to try with it, I'll get back to you with an update in a few mins

well I installed wintv2000, and it gives me an error when it tries to run, so I guess the problem is with my card.

But I can't figure out what that problem is, or how to fix it, anyone got any advice?

What is the error the Hauppauge app gives? It might give some more clues.

Ah, sorry I dont know then. You might have to ask Hauppauge about that one.
