When I run comcut without batch on that file, it does the same thing...

When I ran that command line it did run the command thru...

I got this result...
Code:
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 1/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 2/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 3/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 4/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 5/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 6/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 7/8 ...  100.00%
Now processing H:\TV\The Lost Room\The Lost Room - 3of3- The Eye and the Prime Object.mpg 8/8 ...   failed, range results in an empty chunk

TimeCode begins at 0 and runs to 2:02:52.565
according to The SA GUI program...
the last error message is quite disturbing...

edit: video redo shows that timecode of 2:02.52:16
gbpvr and mtplx show 1:52:02

odd...

Your video file likely has some corruption near the end of the file.

Quote:When I run comcut without batch on that file, it does the same thing...

The same thing? In the last message you indicated that it completely skipped the 2nd file. Could you elaborate on exactly what happens? For example, does the processing screen come up? Does it disappear right away? Does it leave an entry in the error log? Are there other files in the same folder as the recording?

I know this isn't a "comcut" issue, it's the remux'er.
I get an error code 0

As stated earlier in this thread, it may be my capture device.
ATI Theater 550 Pro

Can anyone give me a little help on this?
Is this the issue or is it something else?

Morning Nite,

re: corruption...
Yes anything is possible... I have no idea how to verify... I have watched this recording all the way thru and its 2 hours and some long... but GBPVR shows it less, as does it seems MGPTLX. Gspot, SA, VideoRedo, all show it at full length.. so perhaps they just read a header or something.. I have no idea...

re: same result..
when I ran in batch mode, on the 3 files... the search shows the 3 files.. hit begin processing.. I got 2 flashes, and it was done.. batch mode skipped part 2 of 3 .. nothing in the log at all bout that file.. completely skipped it over..
All 3 files are problematic for MPTGLX (ie: must have incorrect frames), but only part 1, and part 3 are processed in batch mode according to the log file.
When I run part2/3 into comcut by itself... (drag drop/or/comcut filename), the screen flashes.. and there is the exact error that the other 2 files have been giving...
as for other files in the directory... in this case there are 6 files total.. 3 .mpg and 3.txt files ..

I hope that explains it clearly for you Smile

Again I must emphasize, I am not saying the video cutting problem is your program I am very certain its something with the mpetgx program, now that you added command line output to the error.log that makes it easy to determine thats where the failure is.
These video files are supposedly corrupt but I have no way to detect this I guess, I would think that the corruption should be correctable, since they do play perfectly fine and are of appropriate length...

The only bug I have right now.. is your batch mode seems to be skipping the second file in the list entirely.. well at least in this case... (perhaps after there is an error the skip to next file is incremented twice?)
I am going to do an experiment.. and make some copies of the files.. and see if perhaps thats what is happening.. ( I will report later - I actually have a little work at work today LOL)

Try running that command line in a command prompt...
(you can copy paste it from the error.log file (note there may be a missing space the commandline)

that will give you more detailed information as to what exactly happened with mplex1

At this point, you should have several files:
The Outer Limits xxxxxxxxxx.comskip.mpg
The Outer Limits xxxxxxxxxx.mux-0.m2v
The Outer Limits xxxxxxxxxx.mux-0.mp2

If you are missing the last two files, then the videos weren't demuxed, though that should have given a different error message. Try running the command line from the error.log file (put a space after "mplex1.exe") in a command prompt.

I did... and I do have the .m2v, mp2, and mpg files (along with a backup copy of the original).

Running it from the command line I get a "nothing to do" and it exits.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe" -j -f
-o "C:\TVShows\The Outer Limits\The Outer Limits_20070117_08000900.mpg"
nothing to do
