client not working

I'm having issues with setting up the client for gpbvr. When I select a recording to play, the program freezes, both in streaming and filesharing mode. I've tried VMR9, VMR7, and overlay, all with the same results. I've attached my logs, does anyone know what's wrong?

I'm also trying to set up a client. Until now unsuccesfull.

This is what i found so far:
- On client site, it tries to start the (timeshift) mpg-file with the "server-path" (Like C:\...), but of course it's not on the client path (but on the server...)
- Changing paths to a commen shared directory (Like E:\ which is mapped on both client and server to the same server-location) doesn't work either. Then no file is generated. I found that time shifting is even not working on the server side if I don't select a directory on the C:\ drive (although using subdirectories on C are working).

Hope this relates to the same problem and give some insight for a solution?

You shouldnt have to do anything like that.

Ok, Started with fresh installes and have logged 4 situations:
(Turned LivePreview off to test at server-side)
("\\Computer" is the server)

1) Server-side only. Directories mapped to E:\ which is a mapped drive on a shared directory (full access) --> No MPG file created

2) Server-side only. Diecrtories at C:\ --> Working fine

(maybe you see some errors in the next log about "host not found"... due to a typo... corrected it and tested again...)

3) Remote view. Server starts MPG file, but client "hang-up". Client directories are set to "C:\"

4) Remote view. Server starts MPG file, but client "hang-up". Client directories are set to "\\computer\C"

I'd stay away from using mapped or shared drives while you're experimenting - they're not required, and will probably only confuse issues (since they have their own complications). Just stick to recording to something simple like c:\

In your logs there is no sign of a request ever arriving at the server, so I'm guessing either you've got a firewall getting in the way, or you've got the server machine name wrong in the client configuration.
