Audio distortion on one channel only?

For some reason, when I record, the audio on Comedy Central is extremely loud and ends up sounding distorted. None of the other channels do this. Is there a way to adjust the volume on a per-channel basis?

No, not plugins, but you might find ffdshow audio has some tools for equalizing the sound levels in this way - I dont know for sure though.
