Hi leecole,
It sounds like you have it installed properly because some new shows have the *. The default switch settings will work fine for the eastern timezone.

I can only guess, but you probably already had the shows (the ones without the new marker) scheduled to record.
Unless something has changed with GBPVR in the last few releases, it does not update the guide for “pending” & “conflict” shows.
You will only see new markers, and the updated subtitle-description information for show titles that are not already scheduled to record.

If this doesn’t match the problem you are seeing, please post a screen shot of the offending listing in the guide. Any listing that displays an original-air-date in the subtitle or description that matches the guide date will have a new marker.
There should be no exceptions unless GBPVR did not update the listing because of one of the reasons explained above.

I deleted the I-xmltv folder, reinstalled, and it works now!

ok i have followed the reamenow thing and i am having a problem. when i runupdatepg i put in all the information and then it sits on "You can monitor the progress by opening and closing xmtv.log with notepad."

Either I do not know where to look for the log or its not there! This message never does anything else. Thanks for direction!

That log should appear in your c:\i-xmltv folder where you installed xmltv

ok i do not have log folder located in that directory

the file xmtv.log will be in that folder (c:\i-xmltv).

i realize that. two documents are created I-xmltv and xmltv. neither of them how much information.. they contain about 1kb of information. and once i run the updateepg and input my info it says i can check that directory for the xmtv.log file, which never appears and the command prompt never progress, i have left it running for a very long time.

I believe the program is waiting for you to enter your password manually.
During initial setup it asked you to enter your password or hit enter.

WARNING: Storing the password in the config file is not secure
If password is blank, it will be prompted as needed(more secure)

If you don't enter your password then the script will ask for it.

ok its working but my offset is so wrong..i am about 3 hours off... where do i change this setting?
