Fatman_do Wrote:Latest update..

2007–Feb–11 : Version 1.0.5 released.
*MusicLibrary2 added.
*H-MVP theme added.
*InternationalCinemaListings added.
*Reworked TV Guide popup to work better with low res-OSD screen.
*Re-applying Widescreen themes will "Fix" xml files if accidently used standard-def themes.

The "Live TV Guide popup" is driven by the HD tvguide xml files and not the low-resolution live-guide xml file needed by the OSD. It is a bug that shows up in any skin that scales up the regular tv guide xml file. To get around it, I moved the popup to the upper left corner and made it smaller. It is a compromise for now.

I also centered the inset in the Avance theme

yeah, been struggling with the annoying popup resolution thing in sassari. as I dont usually use the live guide, I basically ignore it, and leave it the way it is. I havent bugged sub about fixing it, but hey, since 16:9 high res skins are becoming more popular, he might make the change now Smile

I posted it in the support forum for Sub to see.

I don't know if what I did for MusicLibrary2 would help you out for Sassari. Maybe just look at the sizes and locations, but the xmls are radically different.

I will take a look at it sometime, and if you dont mind I might use some of your skinning for sassari, I am just no good at skinning stuff from scratch, I am much better at re-engineering skins.

thanks for the advice

You will note I use "DrawCompositeImage" in places you would expect to see "DrawImage", and almost all textstyles are referenced from the baseskin.xml file (as are the Composite images being referenced in the "DrawCompositeImage" lines).

The Community Skin method uses a more "advanced" idea of letting the baseskin.xml drive most of the screen fonts and file names. Eventually, I would like to remove all image file name paths from the xml's and just have those referenced in the baseskin.xml file.

That way, someone could use those xml files and use whatever file name and paths they want, they just would have to update one file, the baseskin.xml file, to those file paths.

More than you wanted to know....

actually, its good to know, and a much smarter object oriented way of creating skins, I might get real motivated and convert sassari to something like that, to make editing easier

No one seems to have an opinion it seems.

How about Theater Listings or WebCams?

Thanks for doing this!
