Sub, what are the names of the batch files that are launched by GBPVR and when are they executed, and what if any information is passed to them?

I know of at least the PostEPGUpdate.bat file, but are there any others?

The only other file is postprocessing.bat, which is executed after a recording has completed. If this file exists, it run *instead* of comskip.exe. It's passed the name of the file that has just recorded.

Okay, so this is what I have now:

UpdateEPG.bat - Runs before the Episode guide is updated in GBPVR. Mainly used for XML TV download listings.

PostEpgUpdate.bat - Runs after the EPG Update has finished.

PostProcessing.Bat - Accepts as a parameter the Filename to process. Runs instead of Comskip.exe. Can be used for post processing of recorded files. (i.e. comskip, and cut commercials automagicly, or convert to another format).

King Argyle,

Would be nice to find an exe that could cut the commercials automatically at least to prep the mpeg for dvd burning.

I found one that does it for AVI files. Source was included as well, but haven't found anything that does it for MPEG yet. If you have the cut points, it should be fairly simple if you know mpeg encoding to create something that does this based off the time offsets.

jorm it would probably be a good idea to run mplex once a file finishes record, so the bad frames are removed and can be burnt to dvd video, then delete the adds.

im thinking along those lines for dvd burning, other wise it takes to long.

I looked a little as well for a command line that took cut points, did not find one for mpeg2.

Reven,

I wonder why it thinks the mpegs have bad frames. I wonder if it would be a simple thing to fix it in the recording I know sub would have to look into it, but might save a lot of time. The other thing we can do is when you schedule a recording we can put a checkbox that would prepare it to be burned.

Okay, I can see in the Recording log file where GBPVR is executing my UpdateEPG.bat file correctly. What I don't see it doing in the logs is executing the PostEPGUpdate.bat file. I know it's not executing it at all because I have redirection to a file for the output of the program I want it to run and it's not showing up.

Do I have the name of that batch file correct?
