Worst HDMI 1080i

Glad everyone gets consistent results NOT Big Grin

did you tune the VGA settings? or use the autotune function of your TV? it seems odd to me that you found scaling to look better than something at the native resolution of the panel

Since it's a high end panel it has a lot of internal rescaling and 'improvements'.

There could also be some interaction between the Video card on the PC and the panel that leads to these results.

my tv has a sub menu for VGA to set horizontal and vertical sync settings.

out of curiosity what were the image quality differences? what made 720p look better than the panels native res?

sorry for being so curious, but what made it unreadable, was the size too small, because that can be solved by changing the font size in display settings

I did find these guys were priced bout the same as anywhere on the net...

I ran into 2 others that looked just as good but much cheaper... anyone have experience with them?
Here is one.. the other is on a bookmark at home.

Can't beat a local outfit that you can face-to-face with.

The nature of a digital connection is that it is less reliant on Buzz-word terms and materials.

No, you should be ok as long as they meet the following...:p

# Supports multiple audio formats, from stereo to multi-channel sound.
# High-density triple-shielding for maximum rejection of RFI and EMI.
#24k gold contacts for maximum digital signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
#Nitrogen gas-injected dielectric insulator maximizes video signal strength for the best possible picture and ultra-low loss.

Anyway....

Honestly, other than the occaisional hiccup when one of my hard disks spins up, I can't tell the difference between OTA HD from my built in tuner and OTA HD from my HD Wonder card, displayed via the computer.

Ya, I lose those 6 pixels of horizontal resolution but whatever.... I'm still ecstatic to be on a display better than my 19" CRT TV purchased during my freshman year of college, 8 years ago...
