how to center the image on my screen

Has anyone seen a problem where the menu or anything displayed through the mvp is not centered on the TV screen? It is pushed down and to the right. Is there some adjustment somewhere in software to correct this?

My MVP cuts off some of the picture (say 5 to 10%'s worth) on the right hand side of the screen. I have not figured out how to get it to stop doing this and display 100% of the picture.

You can adjust size and position of the GB-PVR graphics (menus/plugins/osd etc) by editing settings in config.xml. Every TV has different overscan, so you pretty much need to adjust these to fit your TV.

I have no control over the actual video. This will be positioned in exactly the same way as the original Hauppauge software.

Thanks for the info, it worked out great. For others in the future, here is what i added to config.xml in the MVP settings section:

This is what worked best for my TV. It took a bit with a lot of minor tweaks to get the size correct, and then correct the offset. Since I'll eventually be using several MVP's, I used the example in the config and will customize each MVP for each of their TV's that way.

I just got a MVP on Monday, and tried GBPVR last night for kicks. It workes great! I have an older WINTVPVR-PCI card, so i can't do live TV/PVR, but as a MVP server GBPVR is amazing! The first thing I did was install the picture plugin and solitare (I won my 4th game..) and weather. Then I noticed that when viewing pictures they were VERY streached in height. (Plus the botton of the menus weren't even visible) I went to the forums and found this one, and started putzing also. This is what I ended up with.

The first mvp section was height of 500, and the second one was 400. I changed the first sections parameters until it just filled my screen on the TV, then I changed the 400-480 to keep the 4/3 aspect ratio of the TV. It looks MUCH better now. I am totally amazed/impressed with this!

Now if I can only remap the 45 button remote so RW isn't on the RED key, and RW doesn't stop a movie.... Plus the 90min restart thing...

Never mind on the RW key thing. I copied the donble.bin from hauppauge to the dongle folder.... It also solved the process I was going through to boot... duh
