Theater & Weather Plugins Down???

As of yesterday both my theater and weather plugins have stopped working (they won't update). I restored a clean gbpvr install and reinstalled the plugins with the defaults and still no worky.

Are these plugins working for anyone right now?

weather.msn.com works but weather.msnbc.com is giving a page not available error.

The fandango website works for my postal code.

No problem here (germany) with the weather plugin.
This may sound like a no-brainer, but can you ping/tracert msnbc.com ?

No... but can you? They may just discard pings. When I go to weather.msnbc.com I get a page, but there is an error where I should see the weather info.

I checked my network settings in IE (I use firefox to browse) and noticed the proxy server option was turned on and pointing to a non-existant sever (setting from work). Disabled this and now all is ok again.

The question is... how was it working for the past few weeks? Did the proxy magically turn itself on? Very strange.
