VideoArchive Recordings list is empty

I just installed the VideoArchive plugin and configured my episodes directory and my movies (dvd rip folder) directory. I installed all the required extras and configured the correct paths to the tools.

The episodes folders and the movies folder contain mainly avi files.

The plugin is downloading folders.jpg images.

the only thing I wasn't too sure about in the configuration was the permissions tab, I left that unchanged.

I can see pending recordings but nothing is listed in any of the other lists.

Did you try using the test version? The released version has a bug that prevents it from working for first time users.

do i just install over the old one?

Yes. It will update files as needed.
