Not a GBPVR problem, but wanted feedback from others using this decoder.

When the decoder is being used its little icon pops up in the taskbar, when the decoder is done, the icon does not go away until it mouse over them, sometimes I will have almost ten of the icons in the taskbar, anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

You'd have to ask nvidia about that one. I just treat all video decoders the same away, and I'm not aware of anything I'm doing incorrectly with the way I use video decoders. Behind the scenes the nvidia decoder creates that tray icon, but it sounds like its not cleaning it up properly.

That said, I dont remember seeing other reports of this same behaviour.

I think it's a fairly common problem with icons in the right hand bit of the taskbar. Maybe easy to create them, but not so easy to remove??

my little MVP status icons stick there until "mouse over'd"

I used to use the NVidia decoders and I also go the try icon anytime the decoders were in use. If I remember, you right click on it and it gives you some advanced options to tweak the video and audio decoding. I also remember FFDShow decoder putting a tray icon when in use also. I don't think this is a 'problem,' just a feature of the software.

have you tried tweaking the taskbar settings to hide the icon?

right click on the taskbar and open the properties, tick 'hide inactive icons' and click 'customize'. Somewhere on the list that displays, the nvidia icon should be listed and you could set its behavior to 'always hide'.

dont know if that would work, but its worth a bash.
