Possible: Change size of pop-up window and video?

Hi Together,

I am new to gbpvr and I am absolutely delighted about it!!!

While hanging on another thing (I posted it here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24468 - maybe someone of you know a solution) I tried the EWA. Now I have the following questions on it:

Is it possible to delete recordings with the web interface?

When clicking on “Stream” in “Manage Recordings” or on “Watch” in TV Guide a window pops up. Is it possible to set the size of the pop up window?

When playing the stream in the embedded vlc player changing the size under “Video Size” has no effect. Is there any way how I can change the size of the embedded player?
Also I do not know the difference between “Scale” and “Present”.

Yes...when in manage recordings if you click on the show title in table view or the channel number in Table View a deatils window pops up providing the in-depth info on the show. It also provides the buttons for deleting or canceling a recording as well as playing or streaming.

You can change the pop-up size by editing the web\public\popup.js file and change the editpop5 dimensions......not with each GBPVR or EWA release you will need to update this file since you will be changing from the standard size.

I believe the size is directly impacted by the size of the window that it is running in. I really don't encourage plugin usage since it is buggy and has issues across various browser levels.....you get a much better quality video by using VLC as an external viewer.....more control.....more reliability.

Also I do not know the difference between “Scale” and “Present”.

Scale is better to use.....it tells VLC to alter the video size and make it x percent of the original video size.....where 1.0 = 100% of the original size and .5 is 50% of the original size. Aspect is changed automatically by VLC based on this setting.

Preset is a fixed HxW......gives some standard video sizes to choose from but is not as flexible as Scale.

Scale is great for lower upload bandwidth situations.....I have seen a very good (although) small video stream set at .1 with a 256k upload speed.

More Kudos to UJB - amazing stuff you have here. I ran Myth for 2 years and while the Web interface worked there, none have come as close to being ready out-of-the-box as GBPVR and EWA.

Q: My aspect ratio on streams is all wrong all the time - regardless of which x*y video size I select, the video is always displayed in a tall-and-narrow 3:4-ish ratio. Is there a place in the EWA code I can force VLC to adopt a 4:3 aspect ratio?
