My onscreen menus and such are missing their edges when viewed via my MVP on a normal 4x3 television. When viewing the TV Guide, for example, the last line of the show description will not be viewable because it is off the bottom of the screen. And the current time will be half cut-off on the top of the screen.

Any hints?

You can tweak the MVPWidth, MVPHeight, MVPOffsetX and MVPOffsetY settings in config.xml. Make sure you use even numbers, and width + offsetx is <= 720, and height + offsety is <= 480 (or 576 for PAL).

My MVP will occasional do this, not all the time, I find it just needs a power cycle. Not just standby on the remote, but actually unplug it wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. It has also been suggested when you do this to unplug the network cord as well.

I'm not sure why it does this but it doesn't happen very often. After it does happen it does not go away until its been cycled.
GBPVR Server:
AMD Sempron 3300+, 1gb DDR, 100, 200 & 500gb HDDs, DVD -/+RW PVR150 RETAIL, PVR150MCE.
GBPVR 1.0.16, SKIN'S = Default Blue, PLUGIN'S = None

I've noticed this too, (as other's I'm sure) It kinda blows up the image, and isn't even maintain the aspect. I think it shrinks horizontally. It happens about once a week for me. But I only see this playing back video, MPG or AVIs... The menus are all fine.

I think sub hit the nail on the head with the tweaks he mentioned. Perhaps I would suggest using http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugi...enPosition to help tweak

Thanks very much! I didn't expect to be able to fix this problem, but now it's gone! It took a bit of tweaking, but I finally fit my MVP display onto my screen perfectly.

Thanks again.

Does this just affect the MVP OSD or both the OSD and the video playback? I've noticed that when I play back video, the video seems to be slightly larger then the OSD.

GB-PVR can only control the OSD position.

Sometimes there's normal overscan and then sometimes there's the glitch in the MVP that kinda over-overscans the video, cutting oof much more than it should.

To be sure we're talking about one or the other, cold reboot the MVP (that's unplug, wait 10-30secs, plug it back in)

If you are still dealing with TOO much overscan, maybe ZProcess can help
