I use the standard GBPVR scheduler for just about everything, but I want to start using priorityrecording to get the things that pop up only every few months or so (like Top Gear).

I am testing it with the word "King" as I know several shows have that in the title.

do I need to put PriorityRecording.exe in the PostUpdateEPG.bat??

when I run PriorityRecording.exe I get this:
Code:
CDK Priority Recording Scheduler.

I was able to get the same error by temporarily deleting my gbpvr.db3 file. Sounds like priorityrecording can't find or read your gbpvr sqlite database.

it must not be looking too hard.
it is in the same directory as PriorityRecording.exe

the new download of xrecord fixed that problem.

but now even if I type in the EXACT name of a show I KNOW is in the listings, it does not set it to record.

I have a feeling many problems with XRecord were related to the ancient Zap Tools it was using. Searches are case sensistive and there is a workaround in this thread. Can you run priorityrecording.exe > recording.log and post both your recording.log and priorityrecordings.xml files.

I used propes capitalization when I did the exact search.

my test search is "King" because I know there are many shows in the program guide with that word in it.

I took a look at your files. The default detection mode is RecordByTitle which means you must type in the complete case sensitive title. If you add the entry in More or Power mode, you can change the detection mode to RecordByTitlePartial then you can type in a partial case insensitive title.

that did it, thanks!!!!

I was hoping it was something simple.

I again did the test with "King", and I now have MANY shows scheduled with the words SHOCKING and COOKING in them.

I never clicked on the "Power" button because I thought it had something to do with scheduling the computer to shut down, and I had no desire for that.

okay, I have transferred my shows to priority recording.
it seems to be working great in finding all the shows.

but the padding doesnt always work.
I am sure it is because the tuner is being used for a show immediatly following, but I have 3 tuners.

is there a way to make it switch tuners instead of using the same one again??

If you don't care which tuner is used. Then don't specify the <CaptureSource> element in the priorityrecordings.xml file. If a capturesource isn't specified it will try and schedule the show on an available capturesource.

You may also setup the configuration option on ForceCaptureSource to No.
