As mentionned in this post I've had minimal success with hibernate with the patched recording service. Even when it does hibernate, it may happen after 1 hour instead of the 15 minutes requested. Stopping gbpvr and gbpvrtray make no difference. Only stopping the recording service works to fix the hibernate.

I'll give the filemon utility a try if it can help. (I assume you meant can't in your previous post sub)

Yeah, give it a go. I cant see any differences in code that would make the machine stay awake, though I've had a good look, so I'm just hoping some one will find the clue that leads to a fix.

Here are my logs running 99.12 and with the patch for waking the machine installed as mentioned a couple of posts above. This fixed it for me too!

In case it helps track it down, it's fairly clear in my logs that gb-pvr recording service is being accessed every 5 seconds. The exact entry is as follows:

GBPVRRecordingS:1928 READ C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.mdb

I let it run for half an hour so the log is big (feel free to delete the attachement after you get it). The recording service seems to be doing a bunch of stuff every seven minutes.

My system finally hibernated after 1h40m (the delay is set to 10m).

From memory, this was fairly normal with the old .mdb database. You should really think about moving to the SQLite database like everyone else though.

(I wonder if SQLite + that patch will do the job for you setup also?)

I've heard the SQLite database mentioned before but assumed I was on it - how do I change over?

you should have, in your gbpvr directory, a changedatabase.exe (or something like that).

The patch for waking the machine seems to have solved the "not going into hibernate" problem for me, too.

Same here, that patch has fixed the problem of not going into standby I reported in another thread. Thanks

Anyone else getting problems with full screen exclusive mode now that hibernate is fixed? Mentioned this in another thread but thought it might be relevant here too.

My problem is that coming out of hibernate GB-PVR is minimised in the taskbar and then can't be maximised properly (seems to be invisible).
