Seems PowerDVD 7 is very different to 6.

I'm building a new machine to house my GBPVR server. Put down PowerDVD 7 (because 6 wouldn't install!?!?).

Went into the GBPVR config and low and behold no Cyberlink Audio Decoder found (I think because they changed the name to "Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD7)" ) I did a little hack of my config.xml to make it show up, but I don't know if there's anything sub needs to do to make it used.

Then it seems to work a little different, there's a thread in here earlier with some registry entries for PowerDVD 6 that are specific to GBPVR ( http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...k+registry ). This doesn't seem to be the case with 7. I managed to view an XviD and a DVD in powerDVD and WMP with the dolby digital coming out of the stereo correctly, but GB would not flick over to Dolby Digital.

In the end I had to go with AC3Filter for SPDIF output...

Just so anyone using Cyberlink knows.

I didnt include it in config.xml on purpose. I think they're using some licensing API to make sure its only used from apps that are allowed to use it. Couldnt even get it working correctly in GraphEdit.

Ahh that would explain that then. Seems to be very (annoyingly) different. But got it all working with AC3Filter now. I might look at removing Cyberlink from this machine completely.

try the dscaler audio codec, as it does have spdif out and can force everything thru it if needed...

seems like noone knows its there[spdif]...works very well as dvd decoder as well...
[both audio and video decoding]
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie
